The Dowse is the perfect place to make your special day stand out. Our tailored wedding packages give you the flexibility to design and organise your big day. There’s room for you to dine, dance, and say ‘I do’.

We’d love to talk about any special ideas you have to make the day perfect.

Our rooms can be configured in a multitude of ways, with spaces available for outdoor ceremonies, buffet dinners and dancing.

STANDARD WEDDING PACKAGE
Best suited for 50–150 people seated

— Peak Season (OCT–MAR)             $3,105.00
— Off-peak Season (APR–SEP)         $2,845.00

plus $500.00 refundable bond. Extra costs may apply for public holidays

The package includes:

xclusive use of the James Coe Centre and Courtyard from 10AM until midnight on the day of your wedding, plus the Foyer from 5PM (once it closes to the public)
—  Set-up and rehearsal time from 12PM–5PM the previous day
—  T
hree friendly and professional bar staff, including one Duty Manager, to ensure the smooth running of your big day
—  
Security personnel from 5PM
—  
Use of all in-house equipment, such as our rectangular tables, chairs, sound system, projector, lighting, and black leather soft furnishings
—  Your choice of black or white tablecloths
—  
Elegant, high-quality wine glasses, champagne flutes and water glasses
—  Room and in-house equipment set-up and pack-down, including rubbish removal and recycling
—  As a wedding gift from The Dowse, we provide every couple with a named brick on the Community Pathway at the front of The Dowse

 

COCKTAIL WEDDING PACKAGE
Best suited for 50–200 people standing

$2,275.00, plus $500.00 refundable bond. Extra costs may apply for public holidays

The package includes:
—  Your choice of the James Coe Centre OR James Coe 2 & the Foyer
—  Exclusive use of the venue from 10AM until midnight on the day of your wedding (the Foyer from 5PM once it closes to the public)
—  
Set-up and rehearsal time from 2PM–5PM the previous day
—  
Three friendly and professional bar staff, including one Duty Manager, to ensure the smooth running of your big day
—  Security personnel from 5PM

CATERING
We recommend Bellbird, our onsite eatery and caterers. They offer stunningly crafted food from local and artisan suppliers and would love to meet with you to discuss food and beverage options for your special day.

Should Bellbird cater your food and beverage requirements, The Dowse will offer a 15% discount on your venue hire.
