Author: Steph McDonald, Communications Manager

An exciting opportunity to advocate for art and culture in Hutt City and Aotearoa.

The Dowse Foundation is seeking new trustees with an interest in the visual arts and an understanding of their importance to community wellbeing.

The Foundation advocates for art and culture in Hutt City and Aotearoa, and supports artistic excellence. We encourage and support the dynamic and progressive role that The Dowse Art Museum plays in bringing world class exhibitions to local, national and international communities.

We’re looking for new trustees who are strategic, innovative thinkers and team players, who have established networks and are committed to the success of The Dowse. It would be an advantage to have an accounting, legal or communications background and/or experience in engaging the support of others. Governance experience or a desire to learn or be mentored in governance would also be an advantage.

These are volunteer positions requiring up to 4 hours each month, and applicants should live in Hutt City or the Wellington Region.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of The Dowse Foundation’s evolution and play an important role in shaping its future activities.
