In this episode of the podcast, Mackenzie and I sat down with Heather Crichton, the current President of the Friends of The Dowse. We discuss how and why friends groups provide value and support for cultural institutions, and the value that comes from being part of a friends group.

Heather also spoke to us about the upcoming ECC NZ Student Craft Design Awards, an annual event run by the Friends of The Dowse, with the support of ECC and a number of other sponsors. The awards give students the opportunity to submit work in a number of design categories, the winners get mentoring from IP and design professionals, and are a great way to introduce students to the professional design world.
