Podcast: Home Is Where the Heart Is

Author: Sasha Greig, Front of House Team Leader

Some artworks have a particularly special significance...

Mudlark: Bronwynne Cornish, Ceramics 1982–2013 is currently showing here at The Dowse, and we got the very special opportunity of speaking to Bronwynne Cornish herself about the show for the podcast.

Obviously there are many works in the show, and an 8 minute podcast would not do the entire exhibition justice, so for this episode of the podcast we decided to talk to Bronwynne about one very special work in the show.

In this episode of the podcast, we talk to Bronwynne about Home Is Where the Heart Is, the centrepiece of the exhibition, and one of our favourite collection items here at The Dowse. The work was acquired by James Mack when he was the Director of The Dowse, and has been shown a number of times since.

We were very lucky to hear about the origins of the work and what went into creating Home Is Where the Heart Is from Bronwynne herself, and in this episode of the podcast we share it with you.
