Author: Sasha Greig, Front of House Team Leader

Areta Wilkinson: Whakapaipai opened at The Dowse three weeks ago, so we took the opportunity to feature Areta on the podcast

Whakapaipai is the culmination of Areta's PhD work, and we were very interested in finding out how the project came about. Areta talked us through what was involved in the project, and how the different groups she worked with all became part of the exhibition. She also gives a little bit of insight into how academic and artistic practices meet, and the outcomes that arise.

Areta Wilkinson had a Wikipedia page created as part of The Dowse Wikipedia project, you can find it here, and to learn more about the Wikipedia project, click here.
