Over the weekend we installed two brand new shows, Mudlark: Bronwynne Cornish, Ceramics 1982–2013, and Reweti Arapere: Rangimatua. This week on the podcast we are focussing on the second of these two shows.

Cat sat down with Reweti while his work was being installed, to discuss the meaning and inspiration behind Rangimatua, how the work came about, and what it is like trying to fill such a large space with a single artwork.

Reweti's work is placed in view of Nuku Tewhatewha, the pātaka housed at The Dowse, and Reweti says that this provided a foundation for his work.
