The exhibition brings together a range of works from The Dowse collection that explore archeology, materiality and anti-monumentality. The show is also named after a work by Auckland sculptor Christine Hellyar, so this week on the podcast, we’re chatting with Priscilla Pitts. Priscilla is an art writer and curator, who has been researching Hellyar’s work for many years. She was kind enough to come in to talk about Hellyar’s Thought Cupboard, and share her thoughts on the exhibition.

Thought Cupboard is on now at The Dowse until February 8, 2016, and features work by Russell Beck, Ruth Castle, Don Driver, Andrew Drummond, Christine Hellyar, Richard Maloy, Dane Mitchell, Kate Newby, and Michael Parekowhai.
