Silverstream folk artist Bob Gerrard combined his keen enthusiasm for ancient history with a wicked imagination to create the paintings and wooden arks that are currently on show at The Dowse in the exhibition, World Builders. The Gerrard family has also recently donated over fifty paintings and six arks to The Dowse—a generous and welcome addition to our collection.

Last week, we sat down with Faye over a cup of coffee while she told us about what it was like growing up with Bob Gerrard and his quirky sense of humour.
