Yuka Oyama Needs You!

Author: Alex Grace, Communications and Relationships Manager

Ever had more than one home? Lived out of your backpack or suitcase? Started a new home abroad?

If you were born in another country, but live in Wellington and are 18 years or over, Yuka Oyama, Japanese/German, Berlin-based artist, wants to hear from you.

Yuka Oyama is the new international artist in residence at Te Whare Hēra, Massey University. She is looking for volunteers to help her create her latest work, Helpers – Changing Homes. Her work will explore the things we carry that help us create a sense of home through a series of interviews, object making and a live, recorded performance.

To create this work Yuka needs volunteers who can spare approx. 12 hours between November 2017 and January 2018.

If you are interested, drop by the Te Whare Hera web page for more information and fill out an application form by October 25, 2017.
