Our New Blumhardt / Creative New Zealand Curatorial Intern Is…
The Dowse is extremely proud to partner with the Blumhardt Foundation and Creative New Zealand to invite an emerging curator to create an exhibition for our programme to be presented in the Blumhardt Gallery. Each year we enjoy the opportunity to share the skills and experience of our team with a fresh new mind and we thoroughly enjoy this rich and fruitful partnership.
This year we are extremely pleased to announce that Milly Mitchell-Anyon is this year’s Blumhardt / Creative New Zealand Curatorial Intern. Milly will be joining us in June and begin work on her show then.
Originally from Whanganui, Milly is now based in Wellington where she is studying at Victoria University of Wellington. She is in the final stages of completing her Art History Masters thesis which centres upon a critical consideration of Patrick Pound’s show ‘The Great Exhibition.’ She is interested in the possibilities of object art as a means to investigate place, memory and belonging. She has previously worked at Puke Ariki Museum and Whanganui Regional Museum. Milly holds a BA (Hons) in Art History and a PgDip in Museum Studies from Massey University.
