Our Pattern Project is tops!

Author: Alex Grace, Communications and Relationships Manager

Last night the 2018 ServiceIQ New Zealand Museum Awards winners were announced at a heart-warming celebration at the Christchurch Art Gallery Te Puna o Waiwhetū.  Excitingly our Pattern Project was announced as a winner.

The awards reflect on the past year and the successes we enjoyed. It’s also a time to reconnect with friends across the industry and learn from an extraordinary group of innovators and leaders. Hearing about the winning projects is a sure fire way to be inspired.

This ceremony was even more enjoyable than usual. As well as enjoying great company we won the Museum Shops Association of Australia and New Zealand Award for Best New Product or Range (in the under $1 million turnover category) for our Pattern Project.

The Pattern Project merchandise is very special to us. It helps us collaborate more closely with new and emerging designers, create products that allow our audiences to connect with art in new more tactile ways, and generates revenue that we use to serve our audiences better than ever.

To everyone in the project team that worked so hard to create this line of merchandise, thank you very much. To all entrants and winners of this year’s awards – congratulations.
We’re extraordinarily proud to be counted among you.

Here’s to next year.
