37: From the Wall to the Page

Author: Sasha Greig, Front of House Team Leader

Often, art museums and galleries are about much more than putting on exhibitions.

In a gorgeous example of this, on October 17, The Dowse is launching its brand new publication Seraphine Pick: White Noise, to accompany the exhibition of the same name. To celebrate the launch of this book, and to find out what really goes in to producing a publication, this episode of the podcast is all about... you guessed it, books!

Sasha sat down for a chat with Sian Van Dyk, Curator of White Noise, and Michael Pester, Graphic Designer here at The Dowse, to talk about all of the work that went into producing the book. They also gave their thoughts on the value of producing art publications, and the legacy that books create.
