The Dowse Podcast: Priscilla Pitts on 'Thought Cupboard'

Join the podcast team and art writer and curator Priscilla Pitts as they discuss the Dowse Art Museum exhibition, Thought Cupboard (2015).

The exhibition brought together a range of works from The Dowse collection that explore archeology, materiality and anti-monumentality. The show is also named after a work by Auckland sculptor Christine Hellyar, so this week on the podcast, we’re chatting with Priscilla Pitts. Priscilla has been researching Hellyar’s work for many years. She was kind enough to come in to talk about Hellyar’s Thought Cupboard, and share her thoughts on the exhibition.

Thought Cupboard features work by Russell Beck, Ruth Castle, Don Driver, Andrew Drummond, Christine Hellyar, Richard Maloy, Dane Mitchell, Kate Newby, and Michael Parekowhai.
