The Dowse Podcast: World Builders
Silverstream folk artist Bob Gerrard combined his keen enthusiasm for ancient history with a wicked imagination to create the paintings and wooden arks that have been included in several Dowse exhibtions, including World Builders (2016), and Bob Gerrard's Arks, (2019).
The Gerrard family has also recently donated over fifty paintings and six arks to The Dowse—a generous and welcome addition to our collection. Bob Gerrard's arks add to a growing collection of Hutt Valley produced Folk Art, kept company by the works of artists like Malcolm Harrison and John Murchison,
